What our clients say

Alex was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. He worked on our upstairs flooring from December through February, covering approximately 2,000 sq. ft., including five bedrooms and the hallway and the results are nothing short of stunning. We chose luxury, extra-wide European white oak planks, and the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail Alex delivered truly exceeded our expectations. Every cut, seam, and finish was executed flawlessly, and the final outcome completely elevated the look and feel of our home. What really set Alex apart was his professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction. At one point, we decided to make a design adjustment to about 25 planks, and Alex immediately accommodated the change without hesitation, ensuring everything was redone perfectly. Our home is a Toll Brothers property, and Alex’s work truly matches the luxury standard we envisioned. He was reliable, detail-oriented, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. He also left the space extremely clean swept and mopped which we really appreciated, especially after such a large project. We couldn’t be happier and would recommend Alex without hesitation to anyone looking for high-end, beautiful flooring done right.

We had a flooring situation that needed to be turned around extremely fast, literally just a couple of days, and Alex completely came through for us. From the very first conversation, he was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. He understood exactly what we needed and jumped right in to make it happen on our tight timeline. What really stood out was how communicative he was the entire time. He kept us in the loop, sent progress pictures along the way so we could see exactly what was happening, and made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. He went above and beyond by sharing really useful tips about flooring care and even gave us fantastic recommendations for where to get matching baseboards and other finishing materials. The quality of the work itself was excellent, but honestly it was Alex's attitude and professionalism that made the biggest impression. He was flexible, positive, and truly cared about getting the job done right even with the rushed schedule. We felt completely taken care of from start to finish. If you're in the Sacramento area and need flooring work done at a great price, Alex is absolutely the guy to call.

Literally can’t recommend enough! Alex helped us out and was the most honest and hard working person I’ve ever met in construction trades. We bought a house with beautiful tile floors but within a few months we could tell there were issues with the finish on the tile. In some areas it started to chip, others there were streaks, and the worst part of it was that our non-slip mats became cemented into the finish. Alex was super responsive, came over quickly and was as confused as I was about what the previous owners had used. Within a day he got back to me after researching and offered to come try a solution (which ultimately worked like a charm)! He was honest, up front and informative. He understood we were trying to save the existing floors and prioritized our wants over their own financial gain (everyone else told us the tile was irreparable). I’ll never hesitate to call them for any and all future flooring needs!

Alex did a great job reflooring our entire condo. From helping us avoid a poor material choice initially, to removing and replacing all baseboards so we couldn’t tell he did it, to leveling an area under the toilet so the floor was flatter. We decided after he had completed the job to replace the tub enclosure and that left a gap, well, Alex came back and used two left over pieces of flooring to make it look perfect. Alex was a pleasure to work with.

I recently had floating wood flooring installed in my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and efficient. The attention to detail really stood out, everything was measured and installed precisely, and the finished product looks incredible. The floors completely transformed the space and added a modern, high-quality feel to the home. Communication was excellent throughout the project. They showed up on time, kept the workspace clean, and made sure everything was done right. It’s clear they take pride in their work and care about delivering a great result. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for flooring installation. Great experience overall.

Essential Flooring is a solid choice if you’re looking for quality work without overpaying. They do a really good job bringing floors back to life, like in the picture where the hardwood looks clean, smooth, and almost brand new after refinishing. Instead of replacing everything, they restore what you already have, which saves money and still gives great results. They’re reliable, affordable, and the work actually speaks for itself.
